DIRECTIONS TO THE FAIRFIELD SPORTSMEN’S ASSOCIATION
(Note: It’s nowhere near Fairfield!)
Proceed north on Cheviot Road to Blue Rock Road; turn left.
Proceed west on Blue Rock past Ronald Reagan Highway, past I-275 and continue on down the hill several miles until Blue Rock ends at East Miami River Road (which runs parallel to the Great Miami River just to the east of the river); turn left on East Miami River Road and get over into the right lane.
From East Miami River Road, take the first right you come to. This is a continuation of Blue Rock Road. There will be a nice looking softball complex to your right. You will cross a bridge over the river almost immediately thereafter.
Shortly after you cross the bridge you will come to an intersection with River Road in the town of New Baltimore. River Road runs parallel with the river on its west side. Turn right on River Road.
The Fairfield Sportsmen’s Club is located at 6501 River Road which is perhaps two or three miles (a guess) from the intersection where you turned. Look for old Fort Scott on the left but keep going. Fairfield Sportsmen’s Association will be on the right a mile or so past Fort Scott. It’s easy to miss. (If you get as far as Route 128, you’ve gone too far!) Look for a weather beaten sign at a gravel road with some rather decrepit house trailers. Drive in past the trailer(s) and follow the gravel road all the way to the end--in a parking lot.
