February Outing

On Saturday, February 15, the Troop will enjoy an indoor rock climbing overnight at the Climb Time facility in Blue Ash. We'll meet in the St. I parking lot at 7:15PM, not 4:30 as previously announced. Those who wish will be able to earn Climbing Merit Badge, and there will be plenty of pizza! Permission slips were previously mailed out but are still available at www.troop850.org, and you can still sign up at this Tuesday's meeting.

Camp Friedlander

We are eagerly anticipating our second trip to Cincinnati's own Camp Friedlander this year, July 13 to 19. It should be a great week of Scouting! The "early bird" cost is $165 per boy, $85 per adult for the week; the regular cost is $185 per boy, $95 per adult. To secure the early bird rate, $50 per camper is due February 25. A complete fact sheet is enclosed. Of course, as always, we need as many adults (moms or dads) to come for all or part of the week. If you have any questions, please talk to Mr. Hertlein or Mr. Montagne.

March Campout

The March campout will concentrate on rank advancement activities--this will be the opportunity to finish up all those outdoor-related requirements for Second and First Class in time to move up a rank at the April Court of Honor! We'll be going to Clifty Falls State Park in Indiana. A permission slip is enclosed and is also available on the Web site.

Committee Meeting

The next Committee Meeting is February 25. We'd like to see as many parents there as possible as we will be finalizing plans for the Spaghetti Dinner coming up April 12. Those present will get to pick out their jobs for this important event--it will be one of the last chances for boys to earn funds towards summer camp and/or high adventure.

Personal Account Update

A summary of each boy's personal account and where he stands with Camp Friedlander, Seabase and the Michigan backpacking trip is enclosed with this issue. If you have any questions, corrections, etc., please see Mr. Hertlein.
