Congratulations, Brandon!!
Every six months the Scouts elect new Troop officers. Serving in leadership positions is a requirement for rank advancement in the higher ranks. The highest Scout office is Senior Patrol Leader. In July, Brandon Rottmueller was elected as "SPL." Congratulations, Brandon!!
August Campout Reminder
As previously announced, our next 
campout is the weekend of August 15 — 17 at the Fairfield Sportsmen's Club. This
is an opportunity to earn rifle and shotgun merit badges — or to complete
"partials" in those badges from summer camp. There will, of course, be a
mandatory safety course Saturday morning. We especially need adults to attend

Camp Friedlander Wrap-Up
We had a very good year at summer camp!! Lots of merit badges and lots of fun!! Our dates for Camp Friedlander next year are July 11—17. Mark your calendar now
September Campout
In September we will take a canoe trip down the Whitewater River in Indiana. All Scouts and adults with basic swimming skills are welcome to attend. The cost, including canoe rental, is $22 per person. The dates are September 19 — 21. TWO necessary forms are enclosed: our usual Permission Slip and Morgan Canoe Rental's own release form — Morgan's form must be signed by a parent of Scouts under age 18, and each adult must sign one as well. Both forms are available by clicking here. Forms and payment are due not later than September 9.
Calendar Change
Due to the overwhelming progress our Scouts have achieved in rank advancements and merit badges, we need more time for Scoutmaster conferences, Boards of Review, etc., so we've postponed the Court of Honor from September 9 as originally planned to September 30. Any Scouts who are ready for a rank advancement should be sure to schedule a Scoutmaster conference and a Board of Review for either the August 26, September 2 or September 9 meeting.
